The sheet flooring installation method we use depends on the manufacturer and the style:

  • For Full Spread installation the adhesive is troweled over the entire substrate.
  • With Perimeter Adhered installs the adhesive is applied to the outside edges of the flooring and at the seams.
  • Floating flooring is not bonded to the substrate by adhesives but as in all methods the sheets are carefully smoothed down with a sheet roller and the seams heat sealed.

The sheet flooring installation method we use depends on the manufacturer and the style:

  • To replace furniture and appliances, move them over a piece of thin plywood or use furniture sliders.
  • Protect your vinyl floor by covering the furniture legs or casters with protectors.
  • Don’t mop your new floor for about five days.
  • The hard part is over. It’s time to relax and enjoy your new floor.

Go Pro with Double N Services

  • If you are installing vinyl over concrete, we can do moisture tests for you. This is required by many manufacturers to uphold your warranty.
  • For kitchen installations, water, gas lines and appliances, must be safely disconnected and reconnected. Likewise, in bathrooms the toilet should be moved out and replaced. The area of installation must be well ventilated and climate controlled. Temperature and indoor humidity should be maintained for 48 to 72 hours after installation to allow adhesives time to cure properly. You should not replace your appliances or walk on the seamed areas during this time.
